Tea Barista / Sales Associate Position
We are seeking a part-time tea barista/sales associates for our tea shop to prepare high-quality tea beverages, maintain and sell our products, and create an engaging experience for our guests. We are currently hiring for all shifts. There may also be the possibility of cross job duties work as a tea server for our tea parties and assisting with children’s parties and events.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
—Preparing hot and iced tea, bubble tea, and other specialty tea beverages.
—Educating guests about our tea products and tea blends.
—Maintaining a well-organized, safe, and sanitary retail and food-preparation environment for guests and coworkers.
—Preparation of cafe and counters before, during and at the end of service
—Adhere to any necessary Covid safety guidelines that are needed according to county and state mandates.
—Adhere to county and state HACCP mandates and requirements.
—Perform retail sales through our point-of-sale system.
—Demonstrate the highest standards of guest care.
—Ensure adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for café area, manage orders and stock rotation.
—Manage inquires and meet guest expectations.
Required Skills and Experience
—Must be able to work weekdays and weekends.
—Previous food service and retail experience preferred.
—Enthusiasm for engagement with guests.
—Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a group.
—Ability to remain calm in a sometimes fast-paced environment
—Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
—Detail oriented and attentive
—Professionalism, maturity, sincerity
—Good interpersonal and communication skills
—Ability and willingness to take initiative
—Ability to lift 25 lbs and work on your feet for 6–8 hours.
You will be the face of our tea shop and an important member of a small team. The job requires careful attention to detail at all times, and each team member plays an important role in creating a welcoming, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Our guests should feel the same warm welcome they would feel as a guest in our own home. Attention to every detail is of utmost importance.
