WHAT DOES TEA MEAN TO YOU?8/4/2021 Hi Everyone. Thank you for joining in on Butterflies and Wishes first blog post and sharing your passion for tea. There is so much to learn and enjoy about tea, but first thing I would like to ask “what does tea mean to you”? What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word tea? Could it possibly be any of the following?
When I think of tea, I think of cherished childhood memories with my Mom. As far back as I can remember, we would have morning tea with toast, even in the afternoon...it really didn’t matter what time of the day it was. When I needed cheering up, we had tea. When I was feeling ill, a hot cup of tea soothed my tummy. I also think of attending our churches annual Mother/Daughter Banquet and Tea. My Mom, both Grandmothers, Aunts and sister all attended. It was such a memorable time wearing identical Mother and Daughter outfits and modeling them in the tea service fashion show. It was one of the most cherished times I spent with the ladies of the Witt and Walker families. When I think about those time, it brings me a feeling of great warmth, a sense of safety and security and a time of innocence. As I grew into my teen years, our family took summer vacations to Ocean City NJ. In the evenings, my Mom and I would walk along the boardwalk and end our day at a little tea shop that overlooked the ocean. We would enjoy the breeze off of the water, sip our hot cup of tea and take in God’s beauty. This has to be one of most cherished moments with my Mom.
So what does tea mean to me? Tea represents a warm and secure feeling in every sip. It’s not just the delicious taste, it is a feeling of cozy content and cherished memories with every sip. Stay tuned for our next blog post. There is more to learn about tea and my tea journey. Please feel free to share what tea means to you. ~Remember, there’s always time for tea and tea makes everything better”! Cheers! ~Sandy Leave a Reply. |
